Frequently asked questions
About this site
Is this a taxi booking service? No. EAC is information only. We don’t take bookings, we don’t run a fleet, and we don’t pass your details to any operator. To book a London black cab, use the TfL-licensed apps (Free Now, Gett) or hail one in the street.
Why does the URL say “englandairportcars.com” if you don’t book cars? The domain has been online since 2012. In 2026 we rebuilt the site as an editorial guide. The brand is “England Airport Cars” because that’s the domain we have; the tagline “British Taxi Guide” describes what the site actually is.
Who writes the articles? Articles are signed “EAC Editorial”. We are a small team of editors. We do not invent named author personas with fake biographies. See how we write.
How are articles produced? Each article starts with a research brief built from primary UK transport sources (TfL, gov.uk, the London Transport Museum archive). An editor writes the first draft. A second editor fact-checks every concrete claim — fares, regulations, place names — against the cited source before publication. The full process is on how we write.
What about the photographs? Our hero images are atmospheric documentary-style shots rather than photographs of specific real-world vehicles or named people. We do not claim to depict any particular driver, cab, or location precisely; the images set tone for the article topic.
Do you run ads? No. EAC has no advertising and no affiliate links to booking platforms.
